Membership

Read the BLPOA Mission and Objective Statement to find out why we have a lake association.  We encourage residents to support the association by becoming members, attending the annual general meeting, and volunteering for executive positions. Let’s ensure that we have a collective voice for issues such as road maintenance, zoning, garbage/recycling, water testing, mining legislation, and shoreline initiatives. Let’s continue the collection, interpretation, and communication of information on water quality, zebra mussels, social events, and other matters of common interest.

The cost of membership is $25.00 a year per household and this money contributes to costs associated with several lake activities, some of which include:

  • Preparation and distribution of the newsletter, published in the spring
  • Development and maintenance of the website
  • Water quality testing
  • Maintenance of road signs
  • Purchase and placement of navigational hazard markers
  • Liability insurance for BLPOA members
  • Social events
  • Donation to the Volunteer Firefighters Association

Join the association by filling in the online form and sending $25.00 to Black Lake Property Owners’ Association, c/o Bill Woodley, 119 Tom’s Rock , Perth, On., K7H 3C5. Or you may send the paper version of the form along with the cheque.

If you prefer to send your membership fees via Interac e-transfer, you can send it to blacklakefees@gmail.com.  The security answer has to be “blacklake” (all lower case and no space).

If you’re not sure whether your membership is paid up to date please contact our treasurer via email. You can see our email list here.

You may also bring your form and payment to the Annual General Meeting.
